Finding YOUR Optimum Sleep by Kaitlyn Christian

Many people ask me for playing tips and how to be more successful on the court. Honestly, a lot has to do with really simple things - and for me, PROPER SLEEP is one of them. I am typically in bed by 9 pm and wake at 7 am - aiming for 10 hours of sleep per night. When I don't get enough sleep, I have a harder time waking up and feel a bit sluggish throughout the morning. My energy levels drop and I am less attentive and sharp to recognizing details on the court - which I really hate. On days like this, I try to sneak in a 20-30 minute nap, if I can. Find out how many hours work best for you, and try to stick to it. It's definitely a key to how I feel and my production on-court.
